In the Moment

Join Frank Gladu for a sitting practice day with meditative reflection and discussion. The focus of the day will be direct observance of what’s “going on” during our meditation. Hindrances, emotions, thoughts, all the classic intrusions as well as bliss, peace, calm abiding and all the classic blessings.  We’ll take notes and compare our experiences from morning until afternoon.  What does our practice look like, moment to moment, and over time?

Please bring journal, notebook, paper and pen and something for lunch!

Schedule for the day:

  • 9:00 – Arrival, tea/coffee
  • 9:30 – First meditation, followed by notes, reflection, and sharing with the group
  • 11:00 – Second meditation, followed by notes, reflection, and sharing with the group
  • 12:30 – Lunch
  • 1:30 – Final meditation, followed by notes, reflection, and sharing with the group
  • 2:30 – Close

Volunteers are needed for lunch! Please contact Eric Wentworth at eric@wintercrowstudio.com to make arrangements.

Aryaloka Men’s Practice Days are an opportunity for men in the sangha to spend time together in meditation and discussion around aspects of the Dharma. One of the day’s primary purposes is to support spiritual friendship within the men’s sangha and create an environment in which men can study together and build relationships with each other.
