Date: November 11, 2012
Times: 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Men!  Join Bodhipaksa and Eric Wentworth for an engaging exploration of insight (vipassana) meditation.  We’ll be first having a look at what insight meditation is, and what some of the myths surrounding it are, as well as a check-in on what our own experiences with insight have been like.

Then we’ll go deeper into each of the Three Lakshanas – Impermanence, Selflessness, and Suffering – to talk about what they mean for our pursuit of insight, followed by a period of meditation that will explore each more fully.

The day will begin with an open double-sit at 7:00 a.m. for those who would like come early.  For later arrivals, we’ll begin our topic at 9:00 a.m.

Aryaloka Men’s Practice Days are an opportunity for men in the sangha to spend time together in meditation and discussion around aspects of the Dharma. One of the day’s primary purposes is to support spiritual friendship within the men’s sangha and create an environment in which men can study together and build relationships with each other

Volunteers are always welcome and needed for breakfast and lunch, whether that means bringing something to share or preparing a meal.
