Floating LineOn Sunday, November 11th, from 6-9 p.m. Aryaloka Buddhist Center welcomes you to a spectacular autumn evening of the arts!  Maine interdisciplinary artist Rebekah Younger will speak about her contemplative photography exhibition Earth, Water, Fire.  Rebekah’s exhibition is on display at Aryaloka through November 14th, and this is an excellent chance to hear more about the inspiration behind the work directly from the artist.  And we’ll also have music and poetry from several sangha members as part of the event.

The evening begins with a reception and hors d’oeuvres at 6 p.m. Then, at 6:30, Rebekah Younger will give her artist’s talk.  Afterwards, Jon Prichard will serenade us with Native American flute music, and Cathy Okhuysen shares sacred chanting accompanied by the spiritual drone of the shruti box – a traditional Indian instrument.  And finally we’ll be joined by sangha poets Dh. Vihanasari, Dh. Candradasa, and Dh. Samayadevi, who will share their work.

It promises to be a full, festive evening for contemplation of the arts.  All are welcome, and please share with others and bring your family and friends!
