The Aryaloka Buddhist Center Council
The Aryaloka Buddhist Center council consists of Order members and mitras who take overall responsibility for the center. Council members support the Aryaloka mission of providing pathways to the Buddha’s teachings – through classes, retreats, and other activities – and the development of spiritual community, guided by Buddhist ethical principles.
Council members meet monthly to oversee finances, develop policies and plans, and address problems that arise. The council focus also includes: creating the organizational structure, ensuring an ethical foundation for all activities, connecting and communicating with the worldwide Triratna Buddhist community, promoting harmony and participation, and encouraging shared responsibility.
Sangha members are encouraged to be in dialogue with Council members.
