Event Date: Saturday, December 8, 9am – 2pm

For anyone who is considering going vegetarian, it can be difficult to know exactly where to begin. In this workshop led by Certified Health Coach Khemavassika we’ll explore how to adopt a healthy vegetarian diet, why Buddhism encourages us to be kind to our food, and learn some great tips and recipes to get started.

The day starts with a brief meditation, followed by a discussion of the Buddhist ethical principle of non-harm and how it is applied practically. We’ll also explore some of the nutritional principles of giving up animal protein and keeping a balanced and robust diet. Then we’ll move to the fun part – spending time in the kitchen preparing and eating three vegetarian dishes, which may just have a holiday theme! The workshop fee includes food, handouts, and recipes for you to take home and try out.

Only six spaces are available for this workshop, so please register in advance!
