Once a year we hold a week-long retreat for members of the Triratna Buddhist Order to come together for in-depth practice. This year’s Order retreat will be led by visiting Order member Yashobodhi.  A theme and program details will be posted shortly. To enable as many people to attend as possible, the retreat will be held urban-style; depending on your schedule you may come for the full week, the first weekend, or a full day or more. To maintain the retreat-like atmosphere, participants are asked to come for at least one full day or longer.

This retreat is being offered on the basis of generosity, or dana. This allows any Order member to attend regardless of individual financial circumstances. Please note that the minimum donation is $100 for the entire weekend, $300 for the full week, $50 per day, which covers basic costs such as food and utilities while you are here. Of course it costs much more than that to run Aryaloka, so a further donation will help keep Aryaloka solvent for years to come. The suggested price ranges to help meet the full range of Aryaloka’s needs are $170-275 for the weekend, $350 – $540 for the full week, and $65-95 for a full day’s attendance.

* At Aryaloka, we strive to make our programs available to everyone regardless of their financial circumstances. Our fee structure allows you to pay according to your means. The Sustaining price is for people comfortably paying their rent or mortgage, and who can afford the occasional meal out and movie. The Sustaining price level also helps Aryaloka offer lower prices to those who could otherwise not afford to attend. Any payment above this price is a tax-deductible donation. Mid-Level prices are for those who have a regular income and are paying their mortgage or rent. Prices at this level contribute to the range of Aryaloka’s operating costs. The Base-Level price is for those without an income or with an income low enough that making ends meet is a challenge. Those whose circumstances are not included above can call the office to arrange alternate pricing.

* Retreat participants are asked to work together to prepare and clean up after meals and to help with general cleanup at the end of the retreat.
