Event Dates: Friday, July 28, 2017 – Sunday, July 30, 2017

For members of the Triratna Buddhist Order

Using some of the material from the Manjugosha Stuti Sadhana Seminar and the Manjugosha Sadhana itself we will explore the different dimensions of sadhana: going for refuge, renunciation and great compassion, sunyata, the maya way, illumined image, great devotion and receptivity/absorption. There will be presentations, discussions and sadhana practice and a chance to explore your own sadhana in the light of these dimensions.

Ashokashri first shared this material at a women’s private preceptors’ retreat at adhisthana April 2016 using material from Sangharakshita, Subhuti, and her personal experience of doing her sadhana for 37 years.

This retreat is being offered on the basis of generosity, or dana. This allows any Order member to attend regardless of individual financial circumstances. Please note that the minimum donation is $70 for the entire weekend, which covers basic costs such as food and utilities while you are here. Of course it costs much more than that to run Aryaloka, so a further donation will help keep Aryaloka solvent for years to come.

The suggested price range for this weekend retreat is $170-275. If you cannot afford to give these rates then please feel free to give what you can at or above the minimum donation of $70 for the weekend. Likewise, if you are able to give more, then please consider doing so.

If you wish to give a donation to Ashokashri, please bring cash to the retreat for this purpose.

* At Aryaloka, we strive to make our programs available to everyone regardless of their financial circumstances. Our fee structure allows you to pay according to your means. The Sustaining price is for people comfortably paying their rent or mortgage, and who can afford the occasional meal out and movie. The Sustaining price level also helps Aryaloka offer lower prices to those who could otherwise not afford to attend. Any payment above this price is a tax-deductible donation. Mid-Level prices are for those who have a regular income and are paying their mortgage or rent. Prices at this level contribute to the range of Aryaloka’s operating costs. The Base-Level price is for those without an income or with an income low enough that making ends meet is a challenge. Those whose circumstances are not included above can call the office to arrange alternate pricing.

* Retreat participants are asked to work together to prepare and clean up after meals and to help with general cleanup at the end of the retreat.
