Heather Maloney has proven herself as a skilled songstress and singer, and a powerhouse performer; she uses her heartfelt intelligent lyrics, humor, spirited musicality and joyful performances to offer tales of love, self inquiry and the human experience. Her songs are like those classic stories that you can read repeatedly and come away with something new every time.

For the past two years Heather has been focused on her meditation practice living and working at Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts. It is here in the woods of Barre, where the album has been slowly brewing in her solitude; a compilation of Folk, Rock, World and Americana songs directly inspired by her experiences and her desire to awaken.

Cozy Razor's edge was recorded at Spirit House Records in Northampton Mass. Spirit House has worked with major folk players Martin Sexton, Erin McKeown and Sonya Kitchell.

"On the deepest of notes, I would describe this record as my heartfelt effort to integrate music and awareness, creativity and presence; with an intention to dance along the line between art and self inquiry, sound and silence. It's that Cozy Razor's Edge!" said Maloney.

Heather is trained in traditional operatic, classical Indian and jazz vocals and been influenced by Joni Mitchell, Feist, Bob Dylan, Ravi Shankhar and Tracy Chapman which has created a musical style that is uniquely her own. She writes and performs her songs on the same guitar her Mom played to her as a baby as well as the mandolin, piano and the Ghatam.
