Retreat ParticipantsJoin us for a day of celebration and of devotional practice to Dhardo Rinpoche, one of Sangharakshita's teachers and the founder of an orphanage and school in Kalimpong for Tibetan refugees.

Video interviews will provide you with the rare opportunity to be in the presence of a man regarded by Sangharakshita and many others to have been a living Bodhisattva. In the context of devotional practice we will also watch the profoundly moving video of his death ritual.

There will be readings and recollections from members of the Western Buddhist Order who have met him either in person or in meditation.

"Arms outstretched he glided towards me, his face aglow with the warmest conceivable smile. It was the smile of a father, a mother, my best friend, and my dearest kindergarten playmate. In that smile, and in the oohs, aahs, and clucks that emanated from his mouth he seemed to respond with instant, precise love, not just to a visitor, but to me and my entire life so far." - Nagabodhi
