Inner and Outer Wilderness: Men’s Dharma Practice
January 14th, 2020Event Dates: February 29, 9–1
Our Dharma practice days for men in the first half of 2020 will be themed around the idea or image of inner and outer wilderness. We will be exploring the relationship of our inner world to the outer through Dharma texts, literature, meditation and mindful forestry projects. In the cooler months we will be exploring Dharma texts that touch on the theme of wilderness, facing fear, and transformation. In the warmer months we will be outside (weather permitting) working on the beautiful paths and bridges that wind through our forest and along the riverbank. We will prepare the site where we will install another of the stone Buddhas outdoors; this summer on the men’s weekend (July 24-26) we will be ritually installing the antique statue of the Dakini in a pagoda near the firepit.
These events are offered by donation. Please feel free to bring a snack to share.
