Tuesday, October 30, 6:00 – 9:15 pm

In lieu of our usual Friends’ Night activities, Aryaloka Buddhist Centre will be remembering Bhante Sangharakshita with memorial readings, ceremony, and discussion from 6:45pm – 9:15pm. Urgyen Sangharakshita, founder of the Triratna Buddhist Order and Community, passed away on October 30th, 2018. He was instrumental in bringing Buddhism to the West, and as the central figure in our tradition he reached countless people around the world, introducing them to the Dharma and creating an incredible sangha.

Please join us for this special remembrance. You are very welcome to bring any offerings for the shrine in honor of our great teacher.

We are also collecting non-perishable food for the Newmarket Food Pantry. Please feel free to bring a donation for these charities when you arrive. Your generosity makes such a difference in many people’s lives! We thank you for your past donations and encourage you to continue. With gratitude, the Generosity Kula.
